No Confirmed Reports of Escaped Salmon in Bantry Bay

During the storms from February 01, some damage was caused by anchors moving on a fish farm in Bantry Bay. Some salmon mortalities were recorded, but there are currently no confirmed reports of any escapes. The operator in question is in regular contact with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and the enclosures are being monitored around the clock. A detailed assessment will be carried out as soon as the weather conditions allow.
