Join the public consultation on the BIM Responsibly Sourced Standard for Wild Seafood

As standard owners, BIM announces a public consultation on all aspects of the BIM Responsibly Sourced Standard for Wild Seafood documents in order to shape proposals on the future development of the standard.

BIM has developed a best practice standard for wild seafood, in association with the Irish fishing industry and other interest groups. The standard has been developed in accordance with the internationally recognised accreditation standard, ISO 65 and international, standard-setting guidelines and is part of BIM’s Quality Seafood Programme.

The standard is currently available to Irish fish producers and onshore operators and is a third-party certification of defined levels of quality and traceability of seafood products and responsible actions which contribute to the sustainable management of fish stocks.

As standard owners, BIM announces a public consultation on all aspects of the standard documents, which are available here

The consultation aims to collect comments, ideas and contributions, in written form, in order to shape proposals on the future development of the standard.

Written comments, ideas and all other contribution should be sent by email to standard@bim.ie or post to:
