BIM to Promote Safety at Sea at the Irish Skipper Expo this weekend

BIM are proud to support this year’s Irish Skipper Expo, the main fishing trade event in Ireland, this weekend the 7^th and 8^th March at the Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill. 

Following the launch of BIM’s Enhanced Safety Programme last year, we will be encouraging all visiting fishermen to sign up for the courses available around our coast and to avail of the grant-aid towards the new compact lifejackets with integrated Personal Locator Beacons. In addition to the BIM exhibition stand (no 37) and the Coastal Training Unit, BIM will also be organising safety demos, in partnership with the RNLI and Mullion, in the pool area of the hotel at 12 noon and 12.30pm on Friday and Saturday.
