BIM returns as main sponsor to Irish Skipper Expo 2025

BIM is pleased to announce its return as the headline sponsor to the Irish Skipper Expo 2025. Supported by the European Maritime Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF), the trade show event is taking place at the University of Limerick Sport Arena on March 21 and 22.

Visitors to the BIM stand can expect to find a wealth of information about key supports and services available to the industry, including EMFAF grant aid opportunities and practical guidance from BIM staff working at the event on how to access them. Live demonstrations of digitised versions of BIM reports will also be showcased, providing key insights for seafood business owners.

Among other highlights at the BIM stand will be an interactive boat stability display and a model of selective gear, accompanied by underwater footage from the latest fishing gear trials with members of the Irish fishing industry. In addition,  a larger model of selective gear will be displayed outdoors next to BIM’s Coastal Training Unit and a series of safety training demonstrations will also take place with BIM staff on hand to share details of training available to fishers at its two National Fisheries Colleges.
