Applicants are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the post of Senior Marine Engineering Skills Instructor, based at the National Fisheries College, Greencastle, Co. Donegal.
This senior position requires the appointee to be capable of delivering lectures and practical classes to entry-level Commercial Fishing and Aquaculture Certificate students in addition to preparing candidates for all engineering examinations up to the level of Engineering class 1 (Fishing Vessel ) Certificate of Competency.
Applicants should hold an Engineer Officer Certificate in Competency (Merchant Marine) Class 1 and hold a clean driving licence.
Relevant experience as an instructor, a sound knowledge of education and training policy, a high degree of computer literacy, a self-motivated and flexible approach to training delivery and interest in all aspects of seafood training would be distinct advantages.
