Reporting to the Business Development and Innovation Director, the Seafood Innovation Executive will spend significant time identifying new market opportunities, and through commercially grounded research, develop “ready to launch” new product concepts which will be made available through partnership programmes with industry.
The successful applicant will have:
- Significant experience of launching and commercialising new food concepts in international markets.
- The ability to manage innovation processes including the combination of technical and market requirements.
- The capacity to build relationships with key stakeholders, including buyers, trade and seafood industry partners.
- Financial planning to facilitate the development of robust business plans to key audiences.
- The commitment to follow through with companies to develop their business plans, route to market structures and partnerships.
- The understanding of new marketing tools including digital and social media.
Candidates should have credibility and profile within a compatible food sector, demonstrate energy and initiative and have the ability to manage diverse project teams. A strong marketing/or business qualification is advantageous, as is international experience either working overseas, or with a large food company.
