Deadline extended for submissions on the Strategy for the Irish Inshore Fisheries Sector 2018-2023

Submissions are invited on the preparation of a ‘Strategy for the Irish Inshore Fisheries Sector 2018-2023’ being developed by the inshore sector through the Inshore Fisheries Forums.

The ‘Strategy for the Irish Inshore Fisheries Sector 2018-2023’ will set out the vision and objectives for the inshore sector for the remainder of the current EMFF Operational Programme.  At this stage in the Strategy development process, the knowledge and experience of the inshore sector is needed to develop the actions that are needed to bring that vision and the objectives to reality. The consultation document:

  1. Sets out a vision and strategic direction for the inshore sector until 2023;
  2. Identifies key objectives for the inshore sector; and
  3. Asks for input from the inshore sector on the actions required to successfully achieve this vision.
