New product development and innovation support for Irish seafood companies

BIM, Ireland’s Seafood Development Agency, has opened applications for its Seafood Innovation Programme. The initiative is designed to strengthen innovation and new product development (NPD) capabilities across Ireland’s seafood sector. Participants will learn how to make NPD a structured, strategic part of their business.

Successful applicants will receive one-to-one coaching to help them manage NPD more effectively and to support the creation, evaluation, and launch of new products in competitive markets.

The programme is aimed at those working in seafood processing and primary production who want to build their innovation skills, bring new ideas to market, and embed innovation as a core business function.

Commenting on the launch, BIM’s Head of Business Intelligence said:
“The Seafood Innovation Programme has been carefully designed to help participants view New Product Development as a strategic, cross-functional discipline and to integrate innovation into their business models. The Programme will also build a network of seafood innovators. Participants will gain the skills needed to scale new products, enhance competitiveness, and expand into export markets.”

Expressions of interest must be submitted by 12 noon on Wednesday, 10 December 2025.
