Call for Entries for 2018 BIM Young Fishmonger Awards

BIM is today inviting entries for BIM Young Fishmonger and the BIM Seafood Retail Business Award 2018!.

The BIM Young Fishmonger Awards have been running for four years and have celebrated some of Ireland’s most knowledgeable and talented young fishmongers.  BIM is today inviting entries for BIM Young Fishmonger and the BIM Seafood Retail Business Award 2018!.  A Seafood Retail Business Award has been added to the ranks in a bid to pinpoint Ireland’s most progressive, professional and knowledgeable seafood retail businesses.  The closing date for entries is 28th April 2017 and further details and entry forms are available on www.bim.ie/trade.

There are two BIM Young Fishmonger Awards – Supermarket Seafood Counter Award and the Independent Seafood Specialist Award.  These awards are sharply focused on fishmongering skillsets and demand an excellent knowledge of seafood, strong technical seafood preparation skills coupled with outstanding customer service! 

The inaugural BIM Seafood Business Retail Award is open to both Supermarket Seafood Managers and Independent fishmongers and will be seeking out those with the most successful business models.  Applicants will need to have excellent seafood knowledge and clearly demonstrate a strong business and marketing acumen that sets them apart.

Prizes

The winners of the BIM Young Fishmonger 2018 competition will benefit from a prize that not only includes a specially designed trophy and PR support for their business but they will also get the opportunity to take part in a two day cookery course at the renowned Rick Stein cookery school in England.  The winners of the BIM Seafood Business Retail Award will receive a prize package worth €15,000 including a brand review audit, PR training and support as well as access to a range of business experts covering aspects from HR to financial advice.
