Duration and Timetable

This course is delivered over 10 days (full time).

Training Methodology

This course is classroom based, and utilising ship simulators.

Certification

Department of Transport certificate of Navigation Command and Control.

Entry Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Learners must hold a Second-Hand Full Fishing Certificate of Competency and an ENS certificate

Progression

Essential ancillary course for Second Hand Full candidate to upgrade their Certificate of Competency to Skipper Limited, and to enable a Skipper Full candidate to obtain a Certificate of Competency.

Assessment

Continual practical assessment throughout the programme.
