South East Technological University (SETU) are offering a Higher Diploma in Business in Fisheries and Aquaculture at NFQ Level 8.  The Programme content was developed in partnership with BIM.

This course is designed to cater for those looking to enter management, financial, Research and Development or regulatory roles in fisheries, aquaculture, seafood processing and related fields. This innovative course may also appeal to those looking to start an aquaculture or fisheries business company or expand an existing company into new markets.

The full Higher Diploma will commence in September for the academic year 2022-2023.

 

Qualification

Awarded at NFQ Level 8

Entry Requirements

NFQ Level 7 or level 8 Award or equivalent in a related discipline or relevant industry experience

Consideration is also given to applicants who do not hold level 7 QQI academic qualification but who have extensive industry experience which can be Recognised Prior Learning (RPL)

Fee

€2,500 for the full course (€450 for individual module certificates).

Examination and assignments

Duration

Runs fortnightly on Fridays and on Saturdays from 10am-4pm over the academic year (Indicative).

Grant Aid

Funding for the course fee and subsistence costs may be available through the https://bim.flexigrant.com. Application for funding must be made prior to the start of the module.
