National Seafood Survey - Aquaculture National Seafood Survey - Aquaculture

BIM conducts an annual survey in which all aquaculture companies are requested to submit economic and operational details for the year.

The data is grouped by species and submitted to the EU in aggregated format so your company or you as an individual cannot be identified. The information collected helps to inform European aquaculture policy.

Completing the survey is a condition of grant aid payment.

The closing date for survey returns is  Friday 17 February 2023

How do we collect the data?

The data for 2022 is collected for each species-culture, using one of the following 4 survey forms. Please click on the relevant link:

The Form has the same questions as previous years but organised now as a single column of questions.

There are three additional questions on your technical requirements from 2023 onwards.

Please answer all questions as far as possible and then press the ‘Submit’ button at the bottom of the last page. Please see contact details below for any queries or difficulties relating to this new format and an alternative will be provided.

Your involvement in the survey is much appreciated
