Inshore Fisheries Conservation Scheme – V-Notching Support

Apply for grant funding to further improve the sustainability of Ireland’s lobster stocks.

The V-Notching Support Scheme is established under Union Priority 1 (Sustainable Fisheries) of Ireland’s Operational Programme under the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund 2014 – 2020, co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Commission.

Owners/Operator of Irish registered fishing vessels less than 15 metres in length.

Two levels of grant aid will be offered to individual or group applications for:

Solely vessels 12m or less and using non-towed gear

Vessels greater than 12m and less than 15m

Electronic Application Form

Complete the V-Notching  Electronic Application Form on the Grant Electronic Management System (GEMs)

  • Carefully review the terms and conditions
  • Ensure you have sent us your vessels annual economic data

Only applications submitted via GEMs will be considered for approval under the Scheme.
