Make an FOI Request

The Freedom of Information (FOI) Act enables you to obtain access to official information held by BIM, consistent with the public interest and the right to privacy of individuals.

We will work with you informally to assist you with information you may require however, to apply for records held by BIM under the act you must make an official request.

How do I make a FOI request?

Your FOI requests should:

  • be made in writing,
  • state that the request is being made under the Acts,
  • provide as much information as possible to assist us to find any records requested.
