Maia Dunphy is MC for the National Seafood Awards 2018 this November.

Maia is an award-winning media personality with several years experience in broadcasting. Perhaps best-known for her critically-acclaimed 2013 documentary Merlot & Me, Dunphy first appeared on our screens in From Boom to Maternity, which she wrote and hosted for RTÉ.

Following the success of her first two documentaries, Maia went on to make the series Maia Dunphy's What Women Want in 2013, with the subsequent follow-up Maia Dunphy’s Truth About airing in 2015.

She has become a familiar face on Irish television, appearing on a number of programmes, and has also featured as a contestant on the likes of Celebrity MasterChef Ireland on RTÉ and All Star Mr & Mrs on ITV.

In December 2014, Maia won the much coveted Irish Tatler Woman of the Year award for Entertainment.

The trophies designed for this year's National Seafood Awards ceremony articulate a dedication to sustainability that forms the backbone of Bord Iascaigh Mhara's vision. They have been designed using the sculptures found in BIM's award-winning Sustainable Seafood Garden, which made its debut at this year's Bloom festival.
