Conor Molloy

Independent Energy Advisor

Conor Molloy is an independent energy advisor with an MSc in Energy Management and Renewable Energy from University of Ulster. He is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) and a trainer for ISO50001.

In recent times, he has been invited to speak at the IEA in Paris and EI in the City of London, trained over 100 ESOS Lead Assessors in Transport Energy Auditing, and contributed to ISO50004.

Since 2005, Conor has been helping businesses save fuel and manage their energy usage for profit and reduced emissions. He is a member of the Association of Energy Engineers, CILT, FTAI, IMCA and EVO and is a registered lead ESOS assessor (UK) and energy auditor (Ireland).

Finnian O'Luasa

European Seafood Manager, Bord Bia

Finnian O'Luasa is the European seafood manager for Bord Bia. Since 1990 he has been based in France, Ireland's leading export market. Finnian has over twenty-five years' experience in seafood marketing and trade in both the public and private sectors. A native of Bantry, Co. Cork, he has always had a deep passion for seafood.

He holds a master's degree in marketing from the HEC School of Management in Paris and a Diploma in aquatic sciences from GMIT, Galway.

Paul Connolly

Director Fisheries Ecosystems Advisory Services (FEAS), Marine Institute

Paul Connolly was appointed Director of Fisheries Ecosystems Advisory Services in 2000 and since then has developed a broad scientific team engaged in data collection, research vessel surveys, assessment, advice, development of management plans, environmental impacts of fisheries, stakeholders' engagement and research programmes that address ecosystem considerations in fisheries management.

Paul was elected President of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) from 2013 to 2015. ICES are an intergovernmental scientific organisation with 20 member countries around the North Atlantic. ICES delivers impartial scientific advice on a range of marine issues, including fisheries.

Felix McKendry

Senior Food Development Advisor, Enterprise Ireland

Felix is responsible for the Seafood, Confectionery, Horticulture and Peat sectors in Enterprise Ireland. Until recently, he managed the agency's share portfolio. Felix previously worked for IDA Ireland in a range of roles , including its Far East Unit, Small Industries Division, Engineering, Food Division and Planning Division. He has wide experience of company and sectoral development and restructuring.

Gillian Mills

Editor, Inshore Ireland

Gillian has over twenty years' experience in the marine and maritime sectors, starting as a reporter with The Irish Skipper industry newspaper, progressing to editor in 1999. She is a co-founder of Inshore Ireland Publishing Limited (2005), which provides research, compilation, editing and production services of articles, reports and publications specialising in the marine, maritime seafood and freshwater sectors.

Angela Hamouda

Innovation Lecturer, DkIT

Angela is a lecturer of Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Dundalk Institute of Technology.

Her areas of research interest include entrepreneurship education, female entrepreneurship, social innovation, engineering entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial networks and enterprise support mechanisms.

She has been a lead researcher and developer for the Accelerating Campus Entrepreneurship Initiative (ACE). This national initiative has developed a framework for the third-level sector for embedding entrepreneurship education across all disciplines with the aim of creating the Entrepreneurial Graduate. Angela is a visiting lecturer at IUT Montpellier and IUT Annecy and IUT Beziers, France. She is also an external examiner for Cork Institute of Technology and Institute of Technology Sligo.

James Burke

Food Manufacturing & Retail Consultant

Originally from Bantry, James spent over 23 years in the FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) sector, the bulk of it in Superquinn where he was appointed to the board. Today, James is one of Ireland's leading consultants within the artisan food manufacturing and retail sectors.

In his current role as business consultant, James provides strategic advice and business planning to some of Ireland's best known companies within the manufacturing and retail sectors. James Burke and Associates (JB&A) run extensive programmes for Enterprise Ireland, the Local Enterprise Offices and Bord Bia.

James is a current member of the TASTE Council (the strategic advisory group for the artisan food industry) which involves continuous contact with the agriculture and artisan sector. He is also a former advisory board member of AMS, the €100 billion European buying group, and he was also a director of Aontas (the Irish buying company). He is one of a small number of people in Ireland who holds an MBA in Retailing and Wholesaling from Stirling University in Scotland.

Rebecca Ryan

Rebecca Ryan is a Consultant with BDO Eaton Square. She joined the firm after achieving a Master of Management Consultancy in the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. She also has a Bachelor of Commerce from UCD. Her expertise is in strategy development and implementation. She is passionate about business, health and fitness.

Drawing on his considerable experience operating at senior management levels in finance, information technology and business development, Jim has established AccountsPLUS to bring "big business information to small businesses."

Brendan Chambers

Holding BSc and MSc degrees in Food Science, Brendan Chambers has been involved in all areas of the Irish and international good industries. Brendan's 40 years of experience involved the establishment and ownership of a number of food and food-related companies, all engaged in the Irish and international export markets.

Under the Vc Chamco International company, Brendan is engaged in technical/commercial consultancy projects for Enterprise Ireland, Bord Bia and many Irish universities, including Limerick, University College Dublin, University of Ulster, the Dublin Institute of Technology and many institutes of technology.

Brendan was a business partner with Enterprise Ireland; a consultant with the Food Works programme. He has served on the Minister for the Marine's Northwest Pelagic Forum, the Minister's marketing strategy 2015 committee and the Seafood Technical Group's 2015 marketing strategy, as well as being a member of the IBEC Marine Council. Brendan has been appointed Chairman of the Irish Seafood Council.
